ROSELAND, New Jersey (PRWEB), 19 July 2011 -- Annin Flagmakers, the oldest and largest flag maker in the U.S. was inducted into the Made in the USA Foundation's Hall of Fame at an awards dinner on July 2, 2011 in Santa Monica, California. Annin Flagmakers was the winner of the Textiles Category.
At the Made in the USA Foundation's second annual Hall of Fame celebration, 22 winners were announced from 76 nominees. The Hall of Fame was established in 2010 to honor and celebrate companies who contribute to American manufacturing, labor and environmental standards, job creation in the United States and promotion of American-made products. The nominees are evaluated by three criteria: quality, competiveness and impact.
Carter Beard, President of Annin Flagmakers and a sixth generation of this family owned business, was honored with the award, “The American Flag is our symbol of hope,
freedom and perseverance. At Annin, we will continue to produce our flags with the highest level of integrity, honor and pride.” Annin Flagmakers was honored to be nominated with other Textile leaders such as Polartec, Johnson Woolen Mills, Textillery and Robert Crowder & Associates, Inc.
