(Roseland, NJ, August 29, 2011) Annin Flagmakers joins with the Flag of Honor Project and the Healing Field Foundation to construct the NYC 9/11 Remembrance Field of Honor at Battery Park, September 8-12, 2011, sanctioned by the city of New York. Using approximately 3000 flags made up of the Flag of Honor, Flag of Heroes, the U. S. flag and flags representing the 93 countries that lost citizens on the attacks of 9/11, this display will demonstrate the enormity of loss with One Flag for One Life, providing the public with a moving tribute where they can reflect and remember. The field will come together from the passionate contributions of many companies who are donating their product, services or time to make this field happen.
States Bob Caggiano, Vice President of Sales for Annin Flagmakers, “we are humbled by the generosity of the companies that we reached out to and the companies that contacted us and asked us how they could get involved”. This outpouring demonstrates the true spirit of America and the impact that 9/11 has with people 10 years later and their desire to never forget.
The sponsor companies and volunteers are providing everything from flags, poles, lighting, mapping, installation and removal of the field, security, transportation and escort in and out of Battery Park and more.
